This is the 2nd consecutive back-to-back winner for Waterbrook, one of Precept Wine’s portfolio of Yakima Valley vineyard sites. This single vineyard Merlot has a rich, delicious expression of black cherries and mocha barrel flavors. It is a great match for meaty, hearty foods such as pork chops.

Vineyards

The grapes that compose Vaughn Duffy pinot noir are sourced from vineyards throughout all over the North Coast region, but mostly in Sonoma’s Russian River Valley. Every single vineyard was selected to guarantee terroir consistency and top quality fruits.

The 11th North Coast Wine Challenge, the Vaughn Duffy 2021 Pinot Noir, Baciagalupi Vineyards and Russian River Valley were named the top wines. This wine beat nearly 1,200 other wines in order to be given the distinction of Best of the Best, and Best of Show Red.

2021 Bacigalupi Pinot Noir is a mid-weight blend of fruit from four vineyards that are top-quality. The grapes come from Bricoleur Hopkins Ranch Wohler and Suacci and is grown to different Dijon clones.

It’s got a strong aroma that is full of black cherry, red plum along with baking spice. The palate shows strawberries, cranberry preserve and some savory herbs. It’s a great wine, with incredible balance and beautifully combined oak.
